24 Engineering Colleges including KIIT and Centurian in Odisha under land grab scanner

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has taken steps against 24 Engineering colleges and Private Universities who were grabbed government land without approval.
According to the Information Government evacuated Gandhi Institute for Technology, Bhubaneswar Engineering College and Vivekananda Institute of Technology from the land, and issued evacuation notice to Asian School of Business Management.
Besides this, State Revenue and Disaster management Department registered case against Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology(KIIT).
The other institutes on whom government taken steps are Synergy Institute of Technology, Eastern Academy of Science and Technology, SITE, Ekalavya Career Academy, Gandhi Engineering College, CV Raman Engineering College, AIET, MIE, NMIET, The techno School, Nalanda Institute of Technology, UIET, GIET, Asian School of Business Management, MIT, OCEM.
“We have taken appropriate steps against the violators as per the law. Some lands were regularized, said R&DM minister bijayashree Rautray while replying to a question put by BJD MLA Debashis Nayak in Assembly on Monday.
